Metroid Dread Switch NSP XCI is an action-adventure game where Samus Aran explores a mysterious alien planet while battling deadly E.M.M.I. robots.

First released in 1986, the Metroid series is heavily inspired by the Alien films and the dark, surrealist style of artist H.R. Geiger, and has always leaned towards the science fiction-horror genre. Developer MercurySteam intensifies this feeling even further with Metroid Dread ROM. The game combines classic action with thrilling survival moments, especially during relentless chases where mysterious enemies lurk around every corner of the map.

Released exclusively for Nintendo Switch, Metroid Dread quickly became one of the series’ biggest hits, selling over 3 million copies worldwide. The game also received critical acclaim, winning Best Action-Adventure Game at the 2021 Game Awards, becoming the only Switch game to win that honor that year.
