Blade Strangers NSP is an accessible arcade action game designed to bring a fresh take on the fighting game genre with intuitive controls. In the world of virtual fighting games, few genres can match the diversity and creativity of 2D fighting games. At first glance, the simplified control system—basically, single-click directional movement using one or more buttons—might remind you of the frantic Super Smash Bros. series, but in reality, it’s more like a traditional 2D fighting game.

In fact, every aspect of the game is designed to give you complete control over combat. For example, you’re invulnerable for a few seconds after falling (you’re invulnerable on the ground), you can perform attacks that restore health upon rising, and almost all moves (including special moves) are blockable. Fortunately, there are several systems in place that prevent beginners from relying on simple combos for quick victories. First, there’s a combo meter that gradually decreases with each attack. When this meter is depleted, the damage of your combos is significantly reduced.

• Both NSP and XCI formats work perfectly with Yuzu and Ryujinx emulators. NSP files are installed directly, while XCI files are full cartridge dumps.
