Game description
Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch NSP XCI offers exciting real-time battles, dynamic exploration, and new challenges in the Pokémon world. Embark on an adventure in a surprise-filled open world, engaging in strategic battles and exploring unexpected wilderness areas.
While you can’t directly control your Pokémon’s movements in Legends: Z-A ROM, they will follow you on the battlefield, making timing and ball-handling skills crucial to victory. Some attacks require more preparation and longer animations, so using random moves isn’t always the best strategy. It’s all about making quick decisions that react to the flow of the battle.
In one section of the demo, I had to chase Zygard in its dog form. The scene felt a bit over-programmed, and I noticed the background details suddenly appearing. This area was less realistic than others.
The city streets are full of sharp turns, making it easy to get caught off guard, but also offering plenty of opportunities to sneak up on your target. The battle system is fluid, like in Legends: Arceus, but Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch ROM takes the experience to the next level by abandoning the turn-based system and opting for full-time, real-time action. While the menu experience helped me prepare better, I found the difficulty level of the wilderness area to be strangely inconsistent, adding an unpredictability to the experience.
Catch or Battle – Your Choice
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, I noticed that I can either catch Pokémon directly or battle them first. If I want to catch one, I need to aim carefully and throw a Poké Ball. Or I can weaken it using my team before trying to catch it.
The city setting adds a nice twist. Tight streets make it easier to sneak close to Pokémon and catch them off guard. Battles start smoothly, but unlike Pokémon Legends: Arceus, this game uses a more action-based combat system instead of traditional turn-based battles.
