I’m not a shmup expert, but from a design perspective, Star Waspir doesn’t seem poorly made. Collecting letter upgrades in different orders to boost your score is actually a smart mechanic. That said, something about the game just doesn’t sit right with me. I can’t fully explain it, but it physically strains my eyes after a short time. Maybe it’s the flashing or flickering. Whatever it is, I struggle to play more than a level or two before I feel uncomfortable.
