Game description
Crypt Carnage NSP XCI is a frantic first-person shooter with waves of enemies that plunges you into cursed underground tombs teeming with monsters, armored giants, and terrifying bosses. Each round is a tense struggle for ammo, upgrades, and even a moment’s respite as the horde closes in and the arena turns into a deadly trap. Gather reinforcements, quickly switch weapons, and never stop moving, because standing still in the underground tombs means certain death.
The game transports players to a gothic underworld where an ancient evil has awakened, transforming the sacred catacombs into a nightmarish battlefield. The game world is a suffocating labyrinth of crumbling stone passages, dim torchlight, and unsettling ambient sounds, heightening the sense of danger around every corner. Nintendo Switch players will appreciate stunning graphics in both TV and handheld modes. OLED and LCD screens deliver vibrant pixel graphics, sharp contrast, and realistic enemy animations. Fear and anticipation permeate the entire scene: as waves of enemies advance, the environment distorts, paths shift, and terrain collapses, heightening unpredictability. In handheld mode, the crisp pixel graphics and responsive controls make the game ideal for fast-paced, tense gaming sessions on the go.
A key feature of Crypt Carnage is its wave-based assault system, which forces players to quickly adapt their strategies. Each level is a self-contained arena where enemies appear in increasingly dangerous formations, forcing players to constantly move and tactically utilize cover. The Switch version features a responsive control system. Using the Joy-Con or Pro Controller provides highly accurate aiming and smooth weapon switching, ensuring you feel in control even in the most chaotic situations. Motion controls also include a gyroscopic aiming system—a great feature for players who prefer the more realistic feel of analog aiming without sacrificing accuracy.
