Funko Fusion NSP is an adventure platform game that promises an enjoyable gameplay experience, packed with puzzle elements and collectible items. If you’re a fan of Lego games, you’ll understand the challenge and time required to collect and unlock licensed characters and other items. In Funko Fusion, this is one of its biggest drawbacks, based on my personal experience and conversations with other fans. At launch, Funko Fusion Switch NSP XCI offers a single-player experience where you can choose from seven worlds inspired by popular series like Scott Pilgrim, Hot Fuzz, He-Man, Jurassic World, and others.

Besides the main worlds and characters, you’ll have the opportunity to explore additional characters and worlds. So far, several have surfaced online, including M3gan, Chucky, Voltron, and Five Nights at Freddy’s; this was one of the main reasons I decided to try the game. Everything seemed like a paradise for fans of licensed games… or a disaster, depending on what you expect from licensed games with unnecessary DLC. There’s no doubt that the game’s world has been meticulously recreated from the original source material.

As the licenses used indicate, this game is not suitable for young children. This feeling is further reinforced when you discover that some of the hidden characters in the game are inspired by TV series and films such as “Jaws,” “Untouchable,” “Chucky,” and “Shaun of the Dead.” The game contains a significant amount of violence and plenty of gore, including characters being reduced to skeletons. While there are some elements of humor suitable for all ages, and despite being produced by a well-known game company, this game is not suitable for everyone. Even after choosing a character, narrative details are not revealed.
