Fire Emblem Three Houses ROM is an adventure game that, after more than 29 years of development, has become an icon of the Japanese JRPG genre. Nintendo has finally officially released Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the sixteenth installment in the series, for the Nintendo Switch. The game takes place in Vodlan, a land shrouded in dark secrets and a war for royal power. The player assumes the role of a successful young mercenary invited to teach at the prestigious Garreg Mach Academy, where they gradually uncover the history of this ancient and turbulent land. The story also reveals the true nature of the protagonist.

The gameplay of Fire Emblem: Three Houses combines classic and modern elements. On the classic side, the game retains its chess-like tactical system, but replaces the menu system of previous games with an intuitive selection and menu system similar to Fire Emblem: Fates.

Two key elements, mastery and combat, return, but instead of being combined as in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, they remain separate systems. Character support, weapon triangles, arenas, hidden shops, assistants, side quests, and other systems from previous games are retained with a few minor adjustments.

Exploration mode introduces a completely new element to Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Rather than being limited to tedious combat, this mode offers a wider range of exploration opportunities. In Explore mode, you’ll discover a variety of activities within the expansive Garig Mach Academy. You’ll recruit students, increase support points, boost your motivation to study, accept quests, learn from other professors to improve your skills, find lost items, answer annoying messages, cleanse god statues, hunt, farm, and many other mundane activities.
