Miitopia NSP XCI

Miitopia NSP XCI is an RPG game. Among Nintendo 3DS games, Miitopia wasn’t particularly popular with fans, though it was later re-released for Switch for $49.99. But like an old friend, Miitopia is back, letting you choose yourself, your friends, and other Mii characters as the main characters in a simple RPG adventure. While some repetitive missions dampen its appeal, Miitopia serves its purpose as a humble excuse to spend time with your virtual friends while saving the world.

In the peaceful and cheerful world of Miitopia, an evil Dark Lord has stolen everyone’s faces to create an army of monsters. It’s up to you to stop this horror. Or rather, your Mii character. Remember Mii characters? The iconic Nintendo characters first appeared on the Wii in 2006, so they feel like something from the past. (Listen to remixes of classical music from the Mii Channel.) Miitopia gives these digital characters their most prominent starring roles since Tomodachi Life on 3DS and Miitomo on mobile phones.

As part of its update, Miitopia Switch NSP significantly expands the customization options for Mii characters compared to the Switch’s built-in Mii Creator, which is virtually identical to the original Wii version. For example, you can give characters glowing eyes or vibrant anime-style hair, making them more expressive and detailed than standard Mii characters. With custom makeup and wigs, you can turn Mii faces into blank canvases for your artistic creations with stunning results. By scanning Amiibo costumes, you can create incredibly realistic replicas of Nintendo characters.

Once you start playing, you’ll discover that Miitopia is a full-fledged RPG, albeit one that’s smoother than games like Bravely Default II. Beyond social interactions and experience points, there are countless ways to improve your character, and the difficulty level motivates you to stay on top.

• Both NSP and XCI formats work perfectly with Yuzu and Ryujinx emulators. NSP files are installed directly, while XCI files are full cartridge dumps.
• On a modded Nintendo Switch, use Tinfoil or Goldleaf to install NSP files directly to your console.
