Game description

DOOM 64 NSP ROM is a first person shooter game with dark levels and intense combat as players fight demons and survive through tough stages.

It feels like a special part of gaming history. I can see why players still remember it so fondly. Back in the day, FPS games were everywhere, but having a version like this on Nintendo 64 felt unique.

The game offers bigger levels, stronger weapons, and more enemies to take down. It also feels like a return to the roots of the series, especially compared to other shooters of that time that focused more on open environments and stealth. It’s easy to understand why it built such a strong fan following over the years.

Extra Content and Classic Gameplay

This version adds new levels, increasing the total from 32 to 39. I didn’t have issues with the original length, but the extra content still feels like a nice bonus.

Some changes stand out, like a slightly different enemy lineup and a darker overall style. The game still plays like classic Doom, with the same weapons and fast-paced action, including the Unmaker.

The levels use a alter-3D style, which keeps things simple but effective. The engine allows for more complex layouts, but I can’t aim up or down like in modern shooters. Even so, the gameplay still feels smooth and enjoyable.

  • There is no difference between the NSP and XCI formats. They run exactly the same on the emulator.
  • On a hacked Nintendo Switch, please install the file via Tinfoil (Highly recommended), or DBI Installer.
  • If you get "too many requests..." error, just Back then try again after a few minutes.
  • All direct download links are disabled. They will be back in action in 2 days.
