Download Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity NSP XCI is an action game released in 2020 for Nintendo Switch, telling a story set before the events of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Similar to the Dynasty Warriors series, players take on the role of a hero battling hordes of enemies.

Although players can switch between characters, the game is not a prequel to Breath of the Wild, but rather a part of the Breath of the Wild universe, not a direct sequel. The game takes place a century before the events of Breath of the Wild.

Gameplay — Age of Calamity XCI

Players can control 18 different characters, each with unique moves, skills, and weapons. Players can upgrade their characters by leveling up, crafting items, and forging weapons at the blacksmith, which grants them greater abilities.

The main story lasts approximately 15 hours, but the game also includes numerous side quests. Players can complete main story quests and additional side quests after selecting a faction. Additionally, players can consume a variety of foods to gain attribute bonuses, level up, and access information about the game world, thus improving their score.

Completing the main story unlocks more quests and endings.

Graphics and Music — Age of Calamity XCI

In terms of graphics and gameplay, the game is very similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, from Link’s fighting style and attack methods to the use of various items such as ice, snow, magnesium, and bombs. The variety of enemies and many scenes clearly evoke Breath of the Wild, making a strong impression.

You’ll even encounter Divine Beasts in some quests, which is really cool. The game also includes special information about the Master Sword, which was a pleasant surprise. I’ve been a Zelda fan since I was a child, and this game really surprised me. The music is also fantastic.

• Both NSP and XCI formats work perfectly with Yuzu and Ryujinx emulators. NSP files are installed directly, while XCI files are full cartridge dumps.
• On a modded Nintendo Switch, use Tinfoil or Goldleaf to install NSP files directly to your console.
