In my opinion, Download Splatoon 2 NSP XCI is the best multiplayer shooter for the Nintendo Switch. It hooked me from the very first minute. The Nintendo Switch version improved upon virtually every aspect of its acclaimed predecessor. Released in 2017, it perfected the winning formula of Inkling battles, adding a wealth of new weapons, maps, modes, and customization options.

The best strategy is to constantly move and fire paintball guns to cover as much of the map as possible. Furthermore, the color of the ink you spread across the map can be a powerful tool for gaining an advantage. The game includes a unique ability that allows players to easily switch between human and squid forms. You can transform into liquid and move within your team’s ink, completing objectives and surprising enemies.

Additionally, the game allows you to change weapon types mid-match, increasing replayability and revealing new challenges and secrets. In 2018, the developer released the game’s first expansion, the Octo Expansion, which added many new items and maps.

The main feature of Splatoon 2 is the new cooperative mode, Salmon Run. In this mode, you can team up locally or online and battle waves of strange salmon during the day and night, collecting golden eggs. With randomly appearing weapons, special events, and fearsome salmon bosses, Salmon Run keeps you on the edge of your seat with its chaotic and unpredictable dangers. Salmon Run offers a fun and challenging alternative to traditional multiplayer games.
